Computers for Youth

Neighbors Empowering Youth (NEY) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and all technology hardware donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. We gladly accept donations of technology hardware including computers–both laptops and desktops–as well as tablets, printers, and other hardware to help strengthen family engagement in the homes of low-income students and enable teachers to extend learning beyond the classroom walls.

The primary mission of NEY is supporting STEM education with hands-on tech training for high school and middle school students. We are a non-profit service organization engaged in collecting, refurbishing and recycling end-of-life computers and other electronics. We repurpose computers for good, we have set up free after school programs for high school students to intern in our shop, learn robotics and 21 century technology concepts. They refurbish computers, learn about environmental/humanitarian issues surrounding e-waste, sustainable business models and private enterprise giving back to their community. Refurbished computers are given to low income students or charities that support children's education and sold locally and online at below market prices to help bridge the Digital Divide and support the program.
