Make it Space

Without question, one of the biggest challenges facing educators today is, ‘How do we prepare today’s learners for jobs that don’t yet exist and which will require proficiency in technologies that haven’t been invented’.

The experience and skills students require is rapidly changing. To excel in life, college or careers, we must prepare students to succeed in a fast paced, technology-infused, global economy

This knowledge-based society that requires workers to adapt, collaborate, problem solve, think critically, communicate across multiple mediums and be self-directed. Almost demands that we be life-long-learners; and to this end Neighbors Empowering Youth (NEY) wishes to do it’s part by providing a community “Make IT Space” where people gather to share resources and knowledge, work on projects, network, and build.”

At the NEY “Make IT Space”, participants utilize technology to create physical and digital projects. Our “Make IT Space”, is a hands-on learning environment where collaboration, creativity and problem-solving happens. At our site we put technology in the hands of students and enable them to create, explore and empower!
